Toshiba announces "Satellite A665" 3D laptop

Toshiba A665 Laptop Plays 3D Blu-ray and Games3D coming soon to the laptop world

As I have mentioned in my previous articles, 3D has taken off in a big way. More and more electronics giants are jumping onto the bandwagon from 3D Tv's to 3D videocams
Naturally, the next step of evolution would be to take the 3D media along with you in your laptop.

And here it is. Toshiba has revealed the latest addition to their Satellite laptop family: the A665. It has the qualifications of a 15.4" media powerhouse portable, but the real headline is that it will be 3D capable, due to it's screen, video card, and powerful i7 processor. Here are Toshiba's announced specs:

-Intel Core i7 (Quad Core) processor
- Up to 4 GB DDR3 RAM, Up to 500 GB HDD
- 39.6cm (15.6'') TruBrite HD display (120 Hz) with LED backlighting
- 1,366 x 768 pixels (16:9)
- Nvidia GeForce GTS 350M graphics
- Blu-ray Disc read/write drive, (to play the 3D media naturally. Hey Apple, time to go BLU!)
- Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, WLAN (802.11 b/g/n), Gigabit Ethernet LAN
- 3 x USB 2.0, 1x eSATA / USB combo port with Sleep-and-Charge and  Multi-Card Reader, HDMI
- Harman Kardon stereo speakers with Dolby Advanced Audio
- Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit)
Pretty impressive tech sheet, even if it weren't running 3D (which it is :p). Toshiba has set the availability date to July 2010,  with suggested retail price of $1,599...not too bad. You will need a special pair of 3D glasses to enjoy the 3D media, but still no word if it will come bundled with the laptop at that price.
The World of 3D is just getting bigger and more exciting by the moment.
