Apple releases the 2010 Mac Mini

Introducing: The 2010 Mac Mini

Apple today announced the release of their new 2010 model for the Mac Mini, now in aluminum unibody, similar to the MacBook Pros.
The Mac Mini has been around for some time now, it's basically a desktop computer, that you connect to your monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc. to serve as replacement for your PC.

The Mac Mini contains everything you need as a CPU for your desktop. It's Apple's entry level introduction into the world of Macintosh. The new 2010 model has the 2.4 Ghz Intel core 2 duo chip, 2GB of RAM, and 320GB hard disk. On the graphics end, it has NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics processor with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared memory. It has the usual "Superdrive" (DVD) slot, USB, firewire, audio/video ports, as well as an HDMI out and SD card slot. Connectivity comes from built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi wireless  and Bluetooth 2.1, along with standard ethernet port. You will also be able to customize the contents of the Mac Mini, with the convenient access port located on the bottom of the unit, so i guess the "enclosed unibody" isn't absolute here.
Great specs in a tiny box. The price of the Mac Mini is set at $699.

In 2010, Apple has been very busy releasing the newer iterations of their product line-up. The Macbook and MacBook Pro models have already been updated. Recently, the new iPhone was also just announced. It seems that the Macbook Air is next in line for some refreshment.
